Our goal is to honor nature through living adornment. Each piece is handmade by our own two hands from start to finish. From processing our own specimens, to pinning insects. We strive to create beautiful arrangements that honor earths magickal creatures, in life and death.
Our bone specimens are collected post mortem. Some resources we utilize are foraged bones from nature hikes/ local collectors, road kill specimens, animal control as a part of wildlife management, pet donations, and salvaged components from other industries that would otherwise be used as waste.
Our insect specimens are captive bred in butterfly aviaries from around the world. Captive bred specimens live out their full metamorphosis cycle in these aviaries. They are collected post mortem to be sold to universities, museums or businesses like ours. A handful of these specimens are released back into their indigenous land to help sustain population growth.
These aviaries help sustain natural forests and jungles, and provide income for indigenous communities. All moss, pressed flowers, lichen, etc. are foraged from our private property following all of Colorado's foraging guidelines. If any specimens are outsourced through a third party we make sure their ethos align with ours.
It is our goal to run an ethical and sustainable business that maintains transparency and works with the energies of the earth. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us via our contact form on the website.
Each specimen is mounted with assistance from specific deities. We work with these deities to guide the artistic process in order to provide divinely crafted work. We usually call upon Hekate, Hades, Lucifer or Lilith. It depends on who wants to come through to work with a specific specimen. We prefer to work with deities of death and transformation specifically, in order to embody these beautiful aspects of life into our specimen art work.
